CardCaptor Sakura Remastered III Episode 7 (10)

Nina just didn’t know what was worst. The fact that Misho invited Sakura’s class to the Zoo -- or, to be more precise, HER Zoo (which she was a major stockholder in) -- on the last day of school before the Winter Break -- or that it smelled too much like a set-up that even Nina couldn’t ignore it.

It just seemed too convenient. That on the last day of school Misho would somehow con the school to allow this field trip and they bought it hook, line, and sucker. Now, mind you, normally a field trip couldn’t possibly have been run through the paces and scheduled on such short notice, let alone set for the last day of school before a major break from school. Still somehow she did it and that made Nina nervous. The morning of the trip Nina woke up early, rolling over to stare listlessly at her portable computer she leaves on the nightstand every night before bed so she could do a run through of the camera monitors about town before breakfast. Tina was still asleep, and the morning light was barely coming over the “horizon” so she figured now would be as good a time as any to do the morning runthrough rituals.

With a slight stifled yawn she slowly sits up, pulling the computer towards her as she pops it open with a push of her finger and begins to type the commands in (not using vocal commands because she was worried she would wake Tina, who seemed to be a rather light sleeper despite the fact she never seemed to be tired during the day despite her light sleeping habits). The computer responded, slowly going through the entire cycle of images from each “Station” set about from the school, to town, to New King Penguin Park, to -- that’s when she jams a finger down on the stop button in a slight annoyance. Something wasn’t right. With a slight yawn she flicks back through the images for a second until she finds one that didn’t seem kosher.

It was the camera pod mounted in the head of King Penguin (the slide) in the park. But for some reason the image was inverted, as if the camera was filming upside down, and at a wrong angle at that considering how tall King Penguin was. Nina sighs as she sets the scan to go again, running a hand through her short green hair. “Damn kids found the camera again.” Three times to date someone had found the camera hidden in King Penguin’s head, and had somehow sabotaged it. Once the camera was hooked onto one of the small penguins surrounding the statue, once it was buried in the sand around King Penguin, and once somebody tried to use it to peek on women in the women’s bathroom (Nina however never reported the “peep” video to anyone and still has it.) Whoever found the camera this time had somehow rigged it to hang upside down (maybe it was just lying at the base of the slide). Either way? It only meant more work for Nina. She’d have to spin by New King Penguin Park on the way to Sakura’s “field trip” and take the camera back again. She’d then have to sneak in at night and rehide the camera -- maybe this time in King Penguin’s “mouth”. Nina’s day wasn’t starting off right, and somehow she felt it’d only get worst.

* * * * * *

Breakfast was OK, and Tomoyo was on cloud nine with Sakura’s cooking. She always was on cloud nine so that was nothing new to Nina. Still, it wasn’t something Nina looked forward to seeing. Occasionally in the morning, when the two ate breakfast, Tomoyo became a little playful and fed Sakura by hand. Literally by hand. She’d take bits of the meal and gingerly press them between Sakura’s lips bringing a soft sigh and giggle from her. And, in turn, she would do likewise for Tomoyo. Sakura smiled as she felt Tomoyo’s fingers press another bite of food into her mouth, which she chewed with deliberate ease savoring each morsel. That was something Nina just didn’t want to see at the breakfast table. That was bedroom stuff. She didn’t force them to watch her feed Tina and vice versa, so what’s up with them doing it to her?

Tina cheerfully walked downstairs and ate also. For once, it seemed, she wasn’t down before Nina, though somehow Nina couldn’t help but think she was doing that on purpose today for some reason. While Nina was used to late nights and long hours Tina seemed born to stay up long periods of time without fatigue weighting her down. Obviously it was due to her being a Sex Droid and all, but still… anyway while Nina made it through last night with flying colors, Tina still managed to breeze the night without the slightest wear and tear while last night was one of Nina’s “good” nights. Nina smirks as she nudges Tina gently into her chair, gaining a slight smile from her, even with sex added into the mix Tina never seems to wear down while Nina sometimes crashes and burns from the excessive wear.

At this Nina giggled a little, but fell back to her grumpy mood fast. “You OK, Nina? That doesn’t look like a happy face.” Nina sighs as she watches Tina begin to eat, her eyes still weary as she slowly chewed her food. “I don’t know how you make it through each night as perfectly as you do.”

“It’s in my construct, Nina, that and I always have someone worth waking up for.“ (she smiles as she reaches out and gently touches Nina’s hand). “How about you two? How did you --” (stops as she notices Sakura/Tomoyo were talking amongst themselves again) “-- never mind.” As she walked out of the kitchen area to grab her jacket she noticed the TV in kitchen area was on and tuned onto the news. Now since there was a TV in each room this one was used by Sonomi as she got ready for work (so she could watch while she ate breakfast). There, on the news, was an unfortunate sight that Nina knew she would probably see (considering where they were going today) but dreaded.

King Penguin, upside down. Figures why the transmission from the camera in King Penguin’s head wasn’t working properly, the slide itself was turned upside down. As for who did it? It could only have been Power. But that’s when she saw something else. Quickly Nina moved forward and looked closely at the TV. There, on King Penguin’s upside down head was a mark--- a symbol of some kind etched into the hard body of the slide penguin. As she stared at it, Nina’s teeth ground together and her eyes narrowed.
It was an Assassin Guilder insignia, but not one she recognized right away. Which meant there was an assassin guilder involved in this---- but how, and why? With a slight groan, Nina slipped her jacket on, realizing that a trip past King Penguin might be needed after all (just for different reasons than she planned for that morning.

* * * * * *

The skate down to the park was almost uneventful. And it would have stayed that way if only for one thing. Nina was having a bad day since Tina had to go Christmas shopping and left Nina the sole job of watching Sakura. And, which by the way irked her the most, they ran into Keiko on the way to the park. Both of these situations, combined, worsened Nina’s already bad mood.

Tomoyo skillfully puts herself between Sakura and the two as they blade down to the park. Keiko, in her usual demeanor as she jogs next to them, looks at Nina with a bit of mischief in her expression. “Anyone see the Penguin slide on the news this morning?”

“Yeah, yeah.” Nina shot off irritated, knowing what Keiko was prodding at. “Didn’t flip itself over, you know that right?”

“Yeah, yeah.” Nina shot off, irritated. “Think someone did that for it, right?”

“Yeah, yeah.”

“And there’s a letter for you from Marco Ramius in your pocket.”

“Yeah, yeah, you loser Keiko.” (‘Jerk’ Nina said to herself as she skated on, trying to ignore Keiko.) “Gee.” Keiko sighs as they reach the Penguin slide, surrounded by the media and police, “Nothing really phases you once your in boredom mode.”

“Yeah, yeah.”

“-----” As they all looked on, the news crews were giving their thoughts on the thing as police, Alliance Officers, and two ACT officers (Advanced Counter Terrorism, ACT for short) poked around the penguin. “It’s Power.” Sakura suddenly whispers, her eyes looking over King Penguin very carefully. “I can sense her. She was here last night.”

“And what about that?” Nina asks, pointing at the penguin slide and the symbol etched on it. “I know---” Sakura whispers as everyone edges closer to listen, attentions piqued. “I know---”

“---absolutely nothing about that.” Nina faints. She quickly gets up as Sakura, blushing, turns to Tomoyo, “Maybe it’s graffiti?”

“Power might be picking up an artistic sense.” Tomoyo added, to which Nina scoffed. “Or it’s an insignia from an Assassins’ Guild.”

“Assassins’ Guild?” Tomoyo and Sakura asked together. As they bladed away, Nina took over the conversation. “Assassins’ Guild. Remember Thunder‘s “partner“ it merged with? One of those fellows.”

“Who is it this time?” Keiko asked, to which Nina shook her head. “Dunno. Can’t imagine anyone putting a contract out on “King Penguin”, of all things, but there’s got to be more to this than a simple case of “penguin tipping”.”

“Guess we’ll find out soon enough,” Tomoyo added, “We’re almost to the zoo.”

“I know---” Nina sighed, the zoo fast approaching. As she and Keiko drifted off to talk, Sakura/Tomoyo exchanged worried glances and begin to talk as well. “Is it power?”

“Hoe----” Sakura moaned, her senses focusing back to what she saw at King Penguin. For a few seconds nothing then, “I sensed something -- I guess it’s Power but --”

“You couldn’t tell?” Tomoyo asked, to which Sakura said “There was something else there -- muddled her power somehow.”

“Muddled?”

“It’s hard to explain, Tomo-chan.” Sakura tried to word, her hands motioning back and forth as if to signify something growing and shrinking. “I felt her power signature (did I say that right?), but something tried to mask it -- the feeling was weak, as if covered up by another more alien or unfamiliar power signature.”

“Who? Could it be Mimic?” Tomoyo asked, to which Sakura could only shake her head “No, it doesn‘t feel like Clow energy at all -- something -- different.”
Undaunted, Tomoyo pecked Sakura on the cheek as they reached their classmates, “You’ll figure it out. Don’t worry.”

“Thanks, Tomoyo-chan---” Sakura answered, her voice trailing away until, “I don’t want to fight Clow Cards today. Can’t we have a normal happy day today?” Tomoyo smiles and takes Sakura’s hand, leading her brave Cardcaptor to their classmates.

* * * * * *

The zoo was kinda quiet, and it was no wonder as to why. Christmas was only days away. People were far busier doing their last minute shopping than they were going to the zoo. Even the animals felt the decline in business and were taking the days off because there wasn’t much people to show off to. That, more than anything, riled Misho’s fur something fierce. Perhaps planning the trip for today was abit of a whismical whim, she thought to herself as she watched the students gathering near the entrance, but she needed the break that a possible new card incident might bring and wasn’t afraid to make things “happen” to get where she wanted to.

That’s when she noticed Nina staring at her with an askew expression. She didn’t need to ask to know what was biting Nina in the rear, and she didn’t care. “Just as long as the card shows up on time.” she muttered to herself, “It’ll all be worth it.”

* * * * * *

Sakura looked about the entrance to the zoo. Huge wrought iron gates stood ahead, leading into the gigantic Tokyo Zoo, major stockholder being one Misho NamoCatCat. The zoo wasn’t doing very brisk business this later into Christmas so Sakura anticipated a quiet day at the zoo. And, should trouble come, she thought it would make it easier on her with less people to avoid using her magic in front of. Tomoyo stood by her patiently, and with her calming smile relaxing Sakura’s tense nerves. They had talked to length about what might possibly be the card that Misho wanted Sakura to know about through her unexpected “field trip” offer to the school. And, as the two thrashed out the ideas, one card kept coming up as the likely candidate. That being Power, the card that came to the zoo once before and was sealed by Sakura here during her first time as Card Captor Sakura. But to think that Power was going to return to the “scene of the crime” that she visited the first time was abit of a stretch. Even Kero’s “crime show” logic of this being right up Power’s “alley” just didn’t seem to synch for Sakura. There had to be more to Power’s return than a trip down memory lane.

As the class began, Mr. Terada once again handed out cameras and broke the class into groups, and this time besides Naoko, Rika and Chiharu being part of the group they also got Nina, Eliza and Misho (Misho coming in as they walked in one direction). “What?” Misho growled, noticing Nina’s inquisitive eyes staring directly at her as they started walking. “Got any explanation? King Penguin for example?”

“I don’t know nothing about King Penguin.” Misho countered, “I just wanted to see where you were goi --”

“Don’t lie to me.” Nina shot back, not even letting Misho finish her sentence, “There’s a card around here, isn’t there.”

“I never said there was a ca---”

“And there you go, lying a --”

“DO YOU MIND, NINA?” Misho hisses, her voice falling silent as she realizes the others were watching her. As they went back to animal watching she drew Nina closer, “If one shows up I’d thought you’d be grateful that I’d save you all the work of tracking it down yourself. But you with your ingrateful-ness!”

“Show gratitude for a publicity ploy from you? Heaven forbid.“ Nina countered, “If only your motives was as pure and benevolent as you make them sound someone might actually believe them.”
The two split apart and walk on opposite sides of the girls without saying another word.

* * * * * *

Sakura had two things on her mind. Pictures of penguins and pictures of elephants. No Clow Cards, no work, just herself, Tomoyo-chan, and the animals. Sakura had a love of penguins, but she also liked elephants a lot. Tomoyo, being the keeper of the camera, was game. Tomoyo, though, had three things on her mind. Pictures of the penguins, the elephants, and Sakura-chan -- oh, my. The others? Well, they were as much game as Sakura & Tomoyo so that fit their plans rather well. All they had to do was head for the elephant enclosure first and start the photo-ops. That’s when the topic came up.

“Anyone hear about the penguin slide?” Chiharu asked, to which Naoko nodded her head, “Hmm. I heard a ghost did it.”

“OOOoooh! That’d be so cool if that were true!” Rika sighed, “It’d make for a great picture for the class assignment.”

“And not only that---” Nina added, leaning forward towards Sakura as she did, “---it’d be such a kick, especially if we saw a ghost right NOW!”

“Elephants!” Sakura suddenly blurted out, running away as fast as she could. As Nina giggled she caught a disapproving glance from Tomoyo, which caused her to grumble “What?!” as she passed by. “It’s not my fault she’s such a baby about gh---” (whack) “Tina?!?” “Please behave.” she gently whispered, looking over to where Sakura was standing (shivering) waiting for Tomoyo to draw closer to comfort her. “Do you really need to get on Sakura’s case like that? It‘s not nice.”

“Please, Tina, I’m not totally horrible to her. Anyway it’s my one and only joy in this job so don‘t deny me that.” Nina grumbles, “And I thought you were ditching on me today to go Christmas shopping?”

“I’m done.” (Tina leans over and kisses Nina softly on the lips) “In anycase there’s lots of joys that can be shared in public, and not just teasing Sakura.”

“I guess---“ Nina sighed, knowing that once she felt Tina’s soft lips against her own that she wouldn’t be able to resist her anymore today. Sigh. “By the way,” Nina suddenly changed the subject, a thought occurring to her, “---out of curiosity, where’s Rebecca? I thought she was coming today for this trip but she didn‘t show up.”

“She said she might have business today --” Tina responded, looking about wondering the same thing Nina was wondering a few seconds before.

* * * * * *

Sakura and Tomoyo, meanwhile, found a minute for a little private time between them as they waited for the next elephant exhibition to begin. “I’m sorry, I’m such an embarrassment!” Sakura whispered, looking embarrassed, but Tomoyo only smiled and poked her on the cheeks with one finger each. “You just don’t like ghost very much, do you?”

“I should be brave for you, Tomoyo -- I want to be brave for you.”

“You are brave for me, Sakura-chan. More than you could possibly imagine.” she whispered, her voice trailing off abit as she grew misty eyed and reflective. As she thought, Sakura’s eyes turned to her. Shocked, Tomoyo shook herself out of her own thoughts and went back to watching over Sakura. “Never mind. I’ll tell you about it someday. Come on, I want to take a picture of you with the elephants.”
In the distance, unknown to them, someone was watching. But, for the time being, the only thing that mattered to the two young women were each other as Sakura ran over to pose in front of the elephant enclosure while Tomoyo snapped a few shots with both the disposable camera from the school and her own camera she bought for the field trip. But still, someone was watching them.

* * * * * *

If there was one thing that was abundantly clear at this point, it was simply this, Power was bored. Beyond all descriptions of the word. Beyond all meaning of the word. Power was bored. She was bored of the stakeout, and of the watching, and nothing she could think of as she sat there watching what was transpiring below would relieve that boredom. She kicked her feet aimlessly, waiting for some word of when they would act.

But, as she sat there, she only received a gentle “Patience, Miss Power, patience.” and a gesture for her to take a nap while they waited from her partner, an armored male dressed in the gear and protective armoring of the Assassin Guild for which he belongs, Raven Guild. In the dim sunlight his dark black armor glistened, the light reflecting slightly off his visor as he dropped his rifle abit to gaze down at her. True, while she didn’t want to be down for too long, she knew that there was no talking him out of the waiting as long as he called the shots. Once he set his mind towards something it pretty much stood set and it took a lot of effort to change that mindset. And, as she grudgingly relented, they didn’t have the time to talk about it now. And since there really was nothing she could do about the boredom, she relented to the idea of sleeping until they moved.

Besides her, the man in the dark black Raven Guild Assassin’ Guilder armor took abit of time to adjust the sights on his sniper scope on the plasma rifle he carried and waited. It was only a matter of time before he had a clear shot, but it wasn’t much longer. With that, Technocrat flipped open the visor plating and drew another sip of his drink as he watched for the target to show up. There was still time, and nobody seemed to be moving too fast to go anywhere. Even so, time was running out to deliver on the target packet. The target seemed to be there already, mind you, but there was no confirmation. All he knew was that the target was present, but not where the target was at this moment. One other thing, he knew the target would pass by the elephant enclosure, all he had to do was wait for the target and then -- Keep waiting, and the target would come to them, and as this moment that was his thoughts on the situation.

And, as he himself relented earlier, that’s all they could do now. Still, he had his thoughts and opinions as to who wanted this hit carried out. And, being the well connected individual that he was, when Technocrat formed an opinion like that he was almost always dead right on when he made an opinion on something. He wondered however if this would be the first time that he was proven wrong on an opinion he formed. If nothing else, he knew one thing opinion or no, and that was that the target was coming. That alone, that was what was important at that time. Still, he didn’t like to wait, and wondered why the delay. The answer would come sooner than he thought it would, but for now -- Something suddenly catches his eye, and brings the rifle back up. It was showtime.

* * * * * *

The elephant show was improved slightly since last time. This time, besides a tug of war against volunteers from the audience (students), it also did a tug of war against a small mobile crate moving mecha (and the mecha always lost to the elephant).
The pictures Tomoyo was taking promised to be stunning, and this time (mused Sakura) she didn’t have any interference from a Clow card. As for King Penguin? It had to have been Power. Maybe she was just bored and wanted to entertain herself. Once she had enough of being human she’d return to Sakura and become a card again. But, for now, Power was trying to find anyway to amuse herself. Though, and this thought made Sakura particularly happy, as long as she didn’t find entertainment at the zoo while Sakura was there then she didn’t mind what Power did to keep herself occupied (as long as nobody was hurt).

Suddenly she felt Tomoyo draw closer, her head coming to rest on Sakura’s shoulder as they watched the elephants. Sakura sighed happily, enjoying Tomoyo’s reassuring presence near her as she enjoyed Tomoyo herself. Sakura draws an arm around Tomoyo’s waist, and draws her close. Tomoyo was with her, her friends was with her, and everything was perfect. “Lunch!” Sakura suddenly facefaults as the other girls in their group suddenly turn and walk off. “---so much for the romantic moment---” Sakura sighed, irritated that everyone just walked off for lunch on such short notice. They didn’t even bother asking if they wanted to go along. Tomoyo, sensing Sakura’s frustration, poked at the huge lunch she was carrying for them and smiled. “Maybe we can refind our romantic moment after a little lunch?”

“Ok.” Sakura relented, knowing that Tomoyo was only thinking of her when she made the suggestion. “Let’s eat then.” Suddenly, a thought crossed her mind, and she suddenly went dashing off towards the wooded area between off to one side (where visitors could rest during their walk through the zoo) in a panic.

* * * * * *

“He didn’t sneak along this time.” Tomoyo noted, pointing at the bag one more time. They had already set out lunch and this time no Kerberos. The bag only contained lunch, a pouch of Tomoyo’s batteries for her cameras, and some spare film. No extra passengers. Sakura, just for good measure, looks one more time before she goes back to eating. “I was sure he was hiding in there again.”

“I think Kero is far too happy with staying at home and---” Tomoyo stops, noticing Sakura’s sour expression. “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know--- I just want to be alone with you today---” she laments, looking about her, the small wooded area was covered in a light snow cover, the three bare but yet there was enough cover around them so they had a measure of privacy. Still, as she knew, they were not really alone. But that didn’t matter to Tomoyo in the slightest as she cuddled up next to Sakura and helped her dig into their lunches. As they ate, Tomoyo would occasional give Sakura a squeeze or lean on her shoulder, a little something here and there so that, even with everyone around them, it seemed as if they were having an intimate lunch in a very private place just for the two of them to enjoy. Finally, after they finished their meal and took to laying in the snow staring at the sky for a few minutes, Sakura’s worry lines faded and she began to smile again. “Now that’s the kind of expression I cherish from you, Sakura-chan.” Tomoyo whispers, poking Sakura’s cheek as she does, “Your smile is very important to me.”

“Tomo-chan---” Sakura whispered happily, rolling over to bring her head against Tomoyo’s chest now as she laid in Tomoyo’s arms, “Do you think we’ll ever--- I mean--- get married--- like Meilin---”

“I’m sure we will.”

“I’m happy--- I---” Sakura stammers, blushing as she looks into Tomoyo’s eyes, “---I---” A loud explosion rocks the ground, as if something fell out of the sky. Instinctively, Sakura grabs onto Tomoyo, crying out. As the seconds pass, Tomoyo looks about. “That must be Power. Sakura---”

“NO!! I don’t want our happiness to end! Let someone else do it!”

“Sakura-chan.” Tomoyo gasped, looking down at her love, shivering as she held her. “I don’t want our special moments to be always interrupted by Clow Cards! I want my life back!! I don’t want to be the Mistress of the Cards anymore!! I want you!! I want you!!”

“Sakura-chan---” Tomoyo whispered, drawing Sakura up to eye level, “That’ll never change. We’ll always be together---” (another explosion) “I want to be a normal girl again--- a girl in love--- I don’t want to do this anymore---”

“I know, I know---” she sighs, holding Sakura tight, “---but you made a vow that you would. As I vowed I’d always be at your side, as long as you’d have me.”

“I don’t want to lose you! I love you!”

“Then there’s nothing to be worried about.” (explosion) “Now I want you to dry those tears and let’s get going. I know it’s hard but as long as I’m here I won’t let you carry your burdens alone.”

“Tomo-chan---” Sakura whimpered, before finally pulling herself together and standing up. “You’re right! I can’t let this happen---” she pulls Tomoyo to her feet and the two race out of the small wooded area towards the disturbance.

* * * * * *

As the two reached the elephant enclosure they saw something that brought them to a halt. Power, quite visible, was using her power to bench press a 7 foot tall mecha suit. Somebody had apparently snuck a tessaract gem into the park with the suit, and was using it now for some reason. Sakura gasped, watching as Power, eyes narrowed and focused, used simply motioned with her hands to lift the huge armor off the ground without touching it. “I don’t believe it---” Sakura gasped. “She’s using telekinesis---” Tomoyo whispered, her camcorder going since they left the trees recording everything they saw. Sakura couldn‘t understand what was happening, “---but how--- gasp!” She then remembered something.

* * * * * *

Years ago - King Penguin Park

Sakura wanted to flip King Penguin back rightside up, she just knew however that it wasn’t going to be an easy task. She could pick up King Penguin easy enough, but she didn’t know how to get it right side up now that she had it. Holding it was no problem with Power’s power, but still -- “Levitate and flip it.” Both Sakura & Tomoyo turns over to Kero, Sakura blushing abit. “Levitate?”

“How’d you think a little girl like Power could lift that elephant so high? Let alone give it that toss when her small body size would have made that difficult even with her power levels?” Silence. Kero sighs and he elaborates for the two of them. “She’s the embodiment of power, but not merely physical power. For instance, those craters she left while invisible? Wasn’t merely her jumping. She used her mind to cushion her jumps in a dramatic manner with a “shockwave” that created those craters. She also can use her power to thrash things, or bench press large objects and hurtle them into the air with minimum effort. One of her better tricks I have to say.”

“Tricks?!?” Sakura blushed, only to realize that Tomoyo had taken her picture.

* * * * * *

“Tomo-chan---” Sakura sighs, remembering the awkward moment with Yuki when he saw that picture of her bench pressing King Penguin, blushing at Kero’s idea of her levitating the huge slide. She eventually flipped it over and got it in place, but she remembered just now how Kero said Power had more “power” than she let on. With a swipe of her arm she sends the armor flying into the air, just as she did the elephant a few years ago. Sakura, holding her wand out, takes a step forward. “Pow---”

“PAPA! Your turn!” Power cried out.

“P-p-papa?” Sakura stammers, looking about. Behind Power, she suddenly notices, a man in dark armor steps out. As he watches the armor stall in midair, beginning it’s fall back down, he brings to bear a long rifle from his own tessaract jewel and motions to Power. “Stop it just so above the ground please, precious.”

“Ok.” she nods, quickly bringing the mech to a halt in the air above just within reach of the two. “She could do that???” Sakura gasped, realizing just now the extent of Power’s power. As they watched, the armored male puts the rifle’s tip against the mech’s faceplate and waves at the armor, “Bye now.” BAM! Sakura’s jaw drops open. Tomoyo stands there stunned. As the two watch he motions for Power to toss the mech armor aside, leaving it and it’s now dead pilot for someone else to clean up. As he motions for her to follow him, Sakura bolts forward towards her. “WAIT! YOU MONSTER!! WHY---” Power, shocked by Sakura’s appearance, lashes out knocking Sakura back with a jolt of psionics, sending her flying into Tomoyo knocking the two of them down. “Power!” Technocrat calls out, coming to rest near her, “Don’t panic like that, dearest! You could have hurt someone.”

“I’m sorry --” she sighs, looking back at Sakura, “She’s dangerous, papa.”

“What?” Technocrat said in a confused manner, “Power, wait! You shouldn’t be with --”

“SHE’S DANGEROUS!” Power screams, clinging onto Technocrat’s shoulder allowing him to hoist her up in the air. Just then, Nina & Keiko (who were eating lunch with the other girls) show up. As the two sides stare at each other, Power nudges the armored male. “Let’s just go.”

“Right --” he agrees, stepping backwards from everyone. Sakura, legs abit wobbly, stands up and tries to walk towards Power again. “Power, wait! Come back with me! You don’t want to stay with --”

“LEAVE PAPA ALONE!” she cries out, “IF YOU TRY TO TAKE ME AWAY FROM PAPA I’LL KILL YOU!!” Sakura stops dead in her tracks, her face frozen. “-- kill --”

“LEAVE US ALONE!! LEAVE PAPA AND MAMA ALONE!! DON’T YOU DARE HARM THEM!! NEVER!!” she cries, as the two teleport away. Sakura, dumbfounded and confused, collapses on the ground. “---kill me---”
Tomoyo holds onto Sakura, comforting her after her second big shock in one week.
In the background, Fight watches. “I knew it was a mistake.” she sighed, leaning against the tree. Suddenly a voice calls out and a hand tugs on her shirt. “Miss?” Fight turns and smiles, tapping her young charge on her head as she motioned back to the class. “Nothing. Let’s go.”

During vacation, Mirra’s class was taking excursions to the sights of Tokyo from time to time, and their new P.E. teacher today was subbing on the field trip. As Fight drew near, she wondered if Mirra felt her -- only to smile. ‘She’s more interested in her love life than me.’ she thinks, watching Mirra & Hikaru hold hands as they followed her through the zoo. ‘Just as well. Even with my disguise I can’t hide my presence from her forever -- still, it’s a nice thought.’ As they go on, Fight briefly thinks about Power, and lets it go. ‘Guess I’m not the only one with a lifestyle that mistress disapproves of.’

To Be Continued.

The Upheaval At Shoujoai

I noticed that the Fan Fiction section at Shoujoai has been down for awhile recently, as well as the fact that one of (if not the) major leaders at Shoujoai seems to have recently passed away (Sorry to say I didn't know him at all, wish I did though.)

I haven't checked in today but I was wondering if anyone knew what happened to Shoujoai recently, and if they're ever going to get their fan fiction section up and running again (or if they have and I didn't know it). Anybody with information please post here, thanks.

CardCaptor Sakura Remastered III Episode 6 (10)
Period 4 - English

“Nina. Do it.” Keiko prodded, looking at the green haired girl who didn’t know what she was talking about. “Do what?”

“Do it! You know, that English thing. The one Mina is good at.”

“-- oh -- you mean Mina’s word of English she spouted in that episode? Any reason why you want me to do that?”

“Didn’t you play Mina’s daughter in that failed Sailor Solider thing? I remember that --”

“Yes, oh “boss” who was going to be Trooper Moon. I remember that too -- of COURSE you remember that!” (Nina scoffs) “You were in that too so give me a break!”

“Well?” Keiko prodded again, to which Nina sighs, leans back and in perfect tone goes “Why?” bringing a torrent of claps from Keiko. “Poke yourself with a fork, dork-knight, I think you’re DONE!” Nina hisses, rolling over to pout. “Anyone here knows English, and I mean by that REAL English and not bad renditions of “Why?” and other short English phrases and words.” (everyone raises their hands) “WITHOUT the use of a translator chip or device.” (most of the hands go down except for Tomoyo, Hikaru, Nina, Tina, Rebecca, Trinity, Keiko (of course), Eve and Kero) “AND without the use of a translator spell.”

(Trinity & Kero put their hands down---- followed by Eve a few seconds later) “I’m better at German than English.” she admits. “That means half the class knows English, and the other half --” (looks at others) “-- need to learn it. Well, you know what that means --” Everyone leans forward, looking at her intently. “Free period! I don’t like teaching.” Everyone faints. “NOT ANOTHER FREE PERIOD! I THOUGHT WE WE’RE HERE TO TEACH SAKURA SOMETHING YOU MORON!!”

Nina shakes her head, “Well then you teach English class! After all, your quite happy being the object of attention up in the front of the class ranting at everyone like your such a know-it-all!!”

“----”

“That sounds like a good idea!” Tomoyo agrees (before Rebecca/Nina comes to blows) “Anyone wants to start off the class?” Silence, as they all look around waiting for someone to start off. Silence reigned for a long period of time, until finally she said---
“I can’t think of a thing.” Everyone faints. Rebecca, pulling herself off from the floor, collapses face first into the bed as she speaks, “Did you all hear about tomorrow’s unscheduled field trip?”

“Field trip?” everyone asked. “Seems---” (Rebecca pulls herself up, sitting herself back down on the floor leaned against the bed as everyone watches intently) “-- Miss NamoCatCat invited Sakura’s class to Tokyo Zoo (which she’s a major stockholder in) because she’s taking a bath on visits during the Christmas holidays (too many people movie watching and shopping) and she’s probably banking on a good promo boost if the Card Captor showed up at her zoo tomorrow.”

“And it would probably also help abit if Sakura were to “capture” a card there.” Keiko added, knowing where this was all headed. “I figure she’ll do it again.” Sakura sighs, dropping like a rock into the bed as Tomoyo sweat drops, “Not another Flower incident.” Sakura sighs, “Sakura’s right.” (Tomoyo) “The previous incident was bad enough, but she’s going to do it again?”

Keiko nods her head, looking abit peeved at the thought. “It IS NamoCatCat we’re talking about here. While she does have her occasional good points (the Christmas thing for example -- which she benefited from anyway so it’s not like she didn’t make a bundle off of that program) she does seem to go for the lowest common denominator -- m-o-n-e-y.”

“I can’t believe our ship’s chief engineer is actually related to THAT thing!” Nina grumbles, to which Tina nods her head in affirmation. “I remember Miyuko, she does seem rather unlike her older sisters.”

“Sisters?” Sakura asked, confused. Nina shrugged at this “I forgot, you never met the rest of my friends from my other “job”. We’re talking about Chief Engineer Miyuko NamoCatCat. I work with her on the USS Ryoko. Her younger sister is Mi’Shari NamoCatCat, she’s going to Guardian Academy up on the Central Hub. On the opposite end of the scale is Miyuko’s Older sister Misho, which you‘ve met before.” Everyone nods their heads or sighs as they all lean back. Rebecca looks around the room bored, “Anyone think of inviting an English teacher today? Because on this topic I know nadda.” Nina collapses on the floor out of boredom. “We could banter around dirty English limericks.”

“I’ll take the break instead.” Rebecca grumbles, also collapsing. “Make the day go faster!”

“---maybe we should just skip forward to the next period---” Tomoyo offers.

Period 5 - PE
“How can we possibly have PE indoors?” Sakura asked, looking about the room, “The bedroom isn’t big enough for any sort of physical exertion.”

“And your taking the day off --” Keiko concludes.

“Who wants to skip PE?”

“I want to play Madden on the Wii!” (Kero)
“Me too!” (Trinity)
Nina scowls at the others, “Is there something four people can -- oh --” (looks at game) “Soccer? Fine. You all go play while we sit here with Sakura.” As everyone goes to set up, Nina lies down on the bed and stares into the ceiling above, “I wonder how they’re doing --”

“Who?” Tomoyo asks, “Fight and her boy of course. From what Kero said I never would have pictured Fight as the affectionate type.”

“Sometimes it happens,” Tina remarks, nudging Nina in the arm as she stares down at the green haired girl from her place on the bed. “I’m not very skilled with human relationships, but it seems to me that it just happens when two entities fall in love with each other… right?”

At first Nina cracks a smile, but it melts into a pouty frown. “I guess---”

“Nina.” Tina whispers, leaning down, “I’m not the best at relationships and all I really know is being owned by people… but… I guess you’ll teach me all I need to know.“
Tina stops as she looks at Nina’s pouty expression. “Err… I guess I didn‘t need to say all that right off the bat, sorry.”

“I wish they could make it happen this year.” Sakura whispers as she watches Nina and Tina talking to themselves, causing Tomoyo to giggle slightly, “What’s so funny?”

“They’ll make it happen, though there is abit of a matter of law against them getting married. Anyway don’t you worry your sweet, silly little heart. It’ll happen. I know it… maybe they‘ll need to move to another planet before it happens though.”

“Your sure?” Sakura’s eyes glisten abit as she asks, to which Tomoyo nods her head vigorously. “Certainly! Just like one day it’ll happen for us… though I don‘t know if your happy because they‘re going to get together or the promise of Nina leaving the planet.” The two smile, and kiss, unwatched by everyone playing the game (this time through no magical intervention or spellwork). Rebecca smirks as she nails in another goal. “Are they going to strip topless at the end of the game and shamelessly show close up boobies? I‘d love to see that. Topless soccer woman boobies sound kinky.”

“I knew we shouldn’t have played the women’s soccer tournament game.” Keiko sighed.

Period 6 - Social Studies
Tomoyo called for Light/Dark to bring a large set of cooking ware from the kitchen into the room, and with someone already making an earlier run to the store (Keiko) the class was set for a baking lesson. “No you can’t eat the batter from the bowl! Think of the bacteria!” Rebecca cries out, which is returned in kind by everyone booing her, tossing balls of paper napkins at her. “You bacteria farms you! Fine! Get sick! I don‘t care!”

“I don’t know about all of you,” Nina remarked holding up the box of cake mix, “But I grew up on feasting on the gooey chocolate remains after making the cupcakes! Anyone else?” Lots of hands go up. “But this is cake mix, not cupcake mix.” Nina nudges Tina playfully, waving their box in front of her as she did. “Cake mix is fine for cupcakes. Just need the proper baking gear and cake mix can easily be used for just about anything except brownies which need something more to make it work (cake mix won’t cut it alone don‘t we all know).”

Tina - “Something more?”

Nina nodded her head, “Brownies are completely different beasts than cupcakes. They require more goodness in them.” At this Keiko snickers, “Good thing Nina’s so proficient at desserts, or we’d be lost without her.”
Nina frowed, “I happen to know a lot about a lot of cooking, thank you very much!”

Keiko - “That’s not what Michi says.”

“---“ (Nina flips Keiko off) “Go shove you and your friendly whore Michi, Keiko, now are we going to bake or are we going to bake?”

“Bake.” (everyone nodded as the class began). As Sakura read the instructions on the floor, Tomoyo smiled and looked at the apron she wore, “Your cute in that apron, Sakura-chan.” Sakura blushed, looking down at the apron Tomoyo got her once to cheer her up after a bad cooking incident, “I feel a little silly being called the “greatest” anything.”

“You’re the greatest to me, Sakura-chan--- and I love you for being who you are.”

“---Tomo-chan---”

Tomoyo smiles, a wee bit of a twinkle in her eyes, “Maybe after baking while we wait for the cupcakes to cook we’ll put some use towards our leftover batter and have a sweet “treat” later.” Sakura gulps down hard, and begins stirring in the batter, knowing what Tomoyo was playfully hinting at. “You’re sweet, Tomo-chan.”

“Not as sweet as my sweetness once I dab a little special something in the right place.” Sakura starts to beat faster, feeling herself sweat abit at the thought of things to come.

Five minutes into the class
“Rebecca! Get your girlfriend out of my face!” Nina growls, pushing Trinity away, “Damn you Vulcan face! No sticking your face into my bowl!”

“Come here and lick out our bowl if you must.” Rebecca motions, handing the bowl off as she finishes her cupcakes. “I’m done.” Everyone else motions that they’re done, passing them all over to be taken into the kitchen which Sakura/Tomoyo does. As they leave, Nina takes out the ingredients for the topping. “Alright, you choco-holics, try not to EAT the topping until it’s ON the cupcakes. I know the urge to eat concentrated mind melting 110% pure chocolate madness is abit too much on some of you---”

“This coming from the person who nearly shoved her face into her bowl to clean up the remains.” Keiko scoffed, “Oh, wait, you DID shove your face into the bowl at the end.”

“Only to keep Trinny from getting the rest!” Nina defended herself, leaning against the bed. “Anyone notice how Sakura/Tomoyo didn’t touch their stuff?” “Maybe they’re not chocolate guzzling freaks like some of us?” Rebecca remarked. “I bet they’re doing some que naughty things with their---”

“NOT IN FRONT OF THE GIRLS!!” Everyone growls. “They’re 14, it’s not like it’s something evil I’m---”

“REBECCA!!”

“---sigh, sorry!”

Everyone looks over at the two, each gleefully spooning out drippings with their fingers and feeding each other chocolate by finger. “I wish we thought of that!” Nina sighs, causing everyone to groan. “Well now they just had to inspire me when it’s too late!”

“Eat the chocolate!” Trinity motions at the icing. “I’m going to pick up the stuff for home. Whip it up, and then cover Eve in it like a chocolate treat and eat her from head to toe like a living chocolate candy… or maybe just do the perverted sushi plate thing from Rising Sun, only with all female diners… god that‘s so sexy.”

“I thought you said not in front of the girls?” Nina remarked, to which Keiko shrugs, “They’re old enough to listen to that! They’re not babies.”

Rebeeca - “Oh, right, so it’s alright for YOU to talk trash but not---”

Keiko - “I’m just saying what I’ll do, I didn’t bring sex into---”

Rebecca - “Yes, you did.”
Keiko - “No I didn’t!”
Rebecca - “Yes you did.”
Keiko - “No I didn’t!”

Everyone sighs once again. Nina motions about the class with one hand, “Say, just curious here, but did anyone bring gummy bears?”

Period 7 - History
Once again, the presence of Mirra & Hikaru paid off as they helped Sakura cram for her big History exam. Meanwhile, Tomoyo, Rebecca & Keiko talked about it.
“How hard is the test?”

“Hard enough.” Rebecca noted, “I’m not giving out pushover tests, you know!”

“Look, Ms. Psycho-perfection, the question Tomoyo wanted answered is whether or not Sakura can pass this test, not how meticulously fascist your testing etiquette is!”

“Keiko? Just because you’re a high school dropout doesn’t mean Sakura can’t take something---”

“They didn’t have High School when I was alive you nitwit! Did you---”

“Yes, Keiko, yes, I graduated from HS, but what does---”
Nina steps in, “Did you know if you take the initials for High School and drop a L in between you know what you’d have?”

“You going away.” Keiko growls, pushing Nina away, “So did you get anywhere with that high school education of yours?”

Rebecca frowned, “Kinda hard to get anywhere if your run over by a truck after graduation and die you dummy!”

Keiko whistled in admiration, “Well that was fast! Should have saved the nation a few yen and got run over as a Freshman!”

“What a bunch of---”

“Excuse me---?”

“WHAT!?!”

Tomoyo - “Sakura’s test?”

“Here.” (Rebecca sighs, handing over the test) “You have to take it too so don’t look too long at it.”

Keiko - “Yeah, she might have to kill you if you learn the deceptively easy methods by which she copied other people’s history tests and stamped her name on the photocop---”

“HMPH!” (Rebecca storms off to watch the video game playing) “Must be that time of year.” (Keiko walks off, leaving Tomoyo with the test in her hands and a confused expression on her face.)

The test was easier that they though, though Sakura still sweated through it. As the papers were collected, Sakura collapsed into Tomoyo’s arms for a cuddle as she came down from her testing high. “There’s a good girl. You did great! That was good work.”
As Rebecca seals the tests and dates them, she looks over at Keiko briefly, “From what I can see they aced it rather well. She did her studies alright.”

“Did you have any doubt?” Rebecca remarked.

Keiko - “Maybe, but it’s nice to see that I was wrong. She’s getting a little better each day at studying.”

“Growing up?”

“That’s the point of it all, isn’t it Rebecca? One day everyone grows up. Then what happens?” Keiko ponders, walking off before Rebecca could question her further, “Must be that time of year.” Rebecca mutters, putting the test with the math test to be sent back for grading.

After school
Everyone was gone, the day’s events still fresh in their mind as the two cuddled up on the couch and watched TV. Sakura’s head cuddled against Tomoyo’s breasts as they watched, laughed, and talked. Nina and Eliza went back to their room to eat cupcakes and play with another box of batter. Everyone else went home, though there seemed to be less cupcake tins than there were at the beginning of the cooking class--- as if a few walked out of the door with some of the “students” after class.

But for the two lovers, all their fears, worries, and concerns for now were gone. All that mattered was each other, and the fun they had that day. Tomorrow was the trip to the zoo, and most likely a confrontation with Power, not to mention the rematch with Fight--- but that was later, for now, all that mattered was each other. And for now wasn’t that enough? Or so it goes at least.

CardCaptor Sakura Remastered III Episode 5

It was one or two AM in the morning when Sakura felt something was amiss.
The doctor Nina called in fixed her up, but none of the kindly female doctor’s assurances made Tomoyo relax. Sakura assured her she was alright, and that seemed to settle Tomoyo’s nerves, but still…

They made love as always, and Tomoyo seemed to be that much more comforting and gentle that night. Still, she didn’t seem to be quite over what happened. And as if to accentuate that point, as Sakura woke up, she noticed Tomoyo was gone. Her heart was pounding but she didn’t move, she quickly settled herself down and tried to focus. She closed her eyes, and opened her ears to listen around the darkened room.
Opening her senses other than her sight as she listened. Normally, if this was a few years ago, she would have gone into a panic. And now, she felt like she wanted to panic -- but she’d only wake the entire house up and she didn’t want to do that. So, focusing on her powers and her own senses, she reached out and listened very carefully.

The wind whistled slightly outside, making the branches creak. There was nobody outside in the hallway, and if Tomoyo went out she’d have caught the attention of one of her bodyguards who would be fidgeting outside of their room nervous about bothering Sakura, but wanting to tell her something. Nobody was walking about the hallway either, so everything was quiet. Then, she heard a soft whimper from the closet. “Dim lights, please.“ Sakura meekly whispered, waiting for the lights to come up slightly to a soft low dim. Slowly, carefully, she got out of bed and quietly slipped into her undergarments, her thoughts racing.

As she tiptoed towards the closet she felt rather nervous, her body shaking slightly as she drew near. Reaching out with one trembling hand, Sakura gently touched the closet door and slowly opened it. The closet was dimly lit by the dim glow of the lights outside and within the closet, revealing what Sakura was looking for. Tomoyo. She was still naked, lying on the floor curled up in the fetal position, in her arms was a Sakura doll she kept for herself -- she was crying in her sleep, holding the doll tightly to herself. Sakura slowly mustered her strength, and lifted Tomoyo up from the floor, carrying her to the bed and slowly laying her down.

As Tomoyo’s body touched the bed her eyes fluttered slightly, as she began to wake. Sakura laid her down and stepped back, waiting for Tomoyo to wake up. As she did, her eyes met Sakura’s, and she quickly covered her face with the doll. “I’m sorry!” she rasped. “For what?” Sakura asked innocently, sitting down near Tomoyo, reaching out to her. “I’m jealous you wouldn’t hug me.” Sakura kidded, dropping onto her knees so she was eye level with Tomoyo, a hand reaching out to touch her pained face. “Why were you in the closet?”
Tomoyo tries to smile a little, but wouldn’t uncurl from her position. “I didn’t want to wake you. You looked so peaceful I---” (stops, shivers as Sakura reaches another hand out to touch her shoulder) “I can’t forget what happened -- seeing you in pain -- the blood -- it scared me -- I never saw Fight so violent before -- what she did --”

“I’m sorry. It‘s my fault. I got too close --” Sakura reprimended herself, to which Tomoyo countered “It’s NOT your fault! I -- I’m scared for you --” (Tomoyo looks up from her hiding place behind the doll, eyes teary) “-- I don’t want to lose you --”

“Tomo-chan.” (Sakura slowly pries Tomoyo’s arms open, reaching out and pulling the shivering dark haired girl into her arms where she clung to Sakura’s body tightly).
“I don’t want to make you cry.” (stops for a second) “Maybe I should stop being Card Captor --”

“NO!!” Tomoyo wailed, holding Sakura tight, “No! You’re meant to be their -- it’s important --“ Tomoyo cried, to which Sakura responded “Your happiness is important too.“ For the longest time Tomoyo cried, and all Sakura could do was gently rock Tomoyo in her arms -- and comfort her the best she could. Finally, Sakura crawled up onto the bed with Tomoyo, as her tears and wailing dimmed and stop, and they laid there in bed together.
Tomoyo, in a weak whisper, said “I don‘t want Fight to hurt you anymore.”

“I‘ll try to reason with her.”

Tomoyo shook her head, “She’s too dangerous! She --”

“She’s in pain. Just like you -- she only wants to protect the one she loves.”
Tomoyo nods her head, sinking into Sakura’s loving grip. But she didn’t tell Sakura everything. She had a night vision, a scary one -- and she saw what she thought Fight must have seen, only instead of the young man it was Sakura -- face down in the grass, a large male behind her -- tears flowing down her face as she cried out in pain -- Tomoyo stopped suddenly, and chided herself for focusing on that, and lost herself in Sakura’s loving touch.

“No school?” Sakura asked, looking down at her school uniform on herself (she had gotten dressed on time for once) “I called the school and explained everything. Doctor said to take the day off, remember?” Tomoyo assured her, but Sakura was energized to go to school (which seemed like a first for her) “I’m fine! And we should go to school because today’s a --”
Tomoyo pushes Sakura back into bed, her skirt coming up abit as she hits, her body bouncing into the bed as Tomoyo smiles. “Everyone said they’re coming over to help today, so you stay in bed.”

(“Help?” Sakura asked confused, lying prone on the bed in a rather awkward and a tad risque position) “We’re having school in here today.”

“?”

“Sakura-chan --” Tomoyo sighs, moving onto the bed, “You’re just too tempting to pass up!” Sakura knew what was on her mind, or what came close to her knowing as she blushed and smiled “I guess I’m in the right position for that then.”

Homeroom (an hour later)

Everyone was there, and then some.
They all took a space on the floor roughly in the set-up of a classroom with the back of the class going to the huge bed where Tomoyo/Sakura sat (still in their school clothes). Rebecca was there, and she bought Trinity to fill classroom space (she had a substitute at school today for the test, and was planning on doing that anyway since she somehow made everyone nervous when she gave out tests). Keiko was there, and so was her significant other Eve (who looked a little nervous with the impromptu set-up).
Meilin bought Xai to class (who was uncertain about what she could do for the “class”), while Nina and Tina were there to fill spaces in class (Tina came dressed as the school nurse). Kero was also there, and completed the class of 11.

At first, Keiko suggested that Tina take the role of Mr. Terada for some classes -- but that only made Nina huffy and she accused Keiko of being a racist against Sex Droids, and that lasted for the length of homeroom (Sakura wished she didn‘t know what set Nina off, as did everyone else who knew exactly what Keiko was hinting at -- except Meilin who was rather clueless, leaving Xai a rather sticky wicket later in explaining to her confused love what was going on (later)). The next class hopefully would be less loud.

First Period (Keiko’s free study period)

“School?” Mirra asked in confusion, looking about the room at the ensemble cast of characters as she sat on Sakura/Tomoyo’s bed in her school uniform. “I didn’t know you liked to play school in your room, Tomoyo-mama --”

“Wow.” Rebecca sighed, looking about the class at everyone faces (filled with either anticipation, boredom, or confusion) “True to form, eh? Nothing like a boring study period even on a day like this.”

“Still not teaching nothing so get off my back.” Keiko hissed, stretching out and lying back onto the floor lazily. “Tell me when it’s 2nd Period.”

“You lazy bum!” Rebecca hissed, shaking Keiko by the rump. “Get up! Just because we’re all on the floor doesn’t mean you get to slouch off -- TRINITY!! Don‘t copy her!”

“I’m sleepy! (And this is boring!)” she muttered, flopping down on Rebecca’s lap and closing her eyes, “Wake me when the number munching starts!”

“That’s number crunching and --” (sighs) “-- come on! Not you too! Get up!”

“-- Tomo-mama needs better playmates.” Mirra concludes with a confused expression on her face. Her features suddenly brighten as Hikaru, dressed in her school fineries carrying their school bags came in. “Though school for us ended yesterday for break I guess we could play “school” with --” (Tomoyo and Sakura both nod their heads in a reassuring manner as Hikaru looks on slightly nervous at them) “-- Tomoyo-mama and Sakura-papa -- is it alright if I --?”

“It’s alright! Your like family, Hikaru! Come on, sit down!” Sakura gleefully motions, pointing for Hikaru to sit next to Mirra which she does. The two smile as Hikaru cozies up next to Mirra, passing her bag as the two exchange kisses and cuddle close for “class”.

From the floor, Kero gets up from his spot and flies over to the TV. “I’m going to teach first period, and the merry ole’ class of Rayman : Raving Rabbids. Anyone else want to learn with me? Four players can play, you know!”

“I’m in!” (Rebecca) (rolling Trinny over as she got up)
“ME!” (Trinity) “I wanna play!”
“I’m going to watch.” (Meilin announces, pulling Xai along)
“I’ll stay here.” (Eve)
“We’re fine here.” Hikaru announces, reaching a hand out to hold Mirra’s hand as Sakura/Tomoyo both lean back on the pile of pillows set up against the headboard of their bed, reaching out to take each other’s hand in turn.
“-- what she said --” (Keiko nods in agreement, moving closer to Eve)
“I’m in.” (Nina, to which Tina nods her head and follows to watch) “I’ll be here for emotional support and to care for any Wii related injuries from flying Wiimotes.“

As everyone goes to play, Keiko & Eve climb up on the bed and lie down at the foot, looking up at the four on the bed. “Nice. The kids are going to goof off first period. As if I cared --” Keiko sighed, stretching out on the bed. “Is my class really this boring?”

“It does give us a chance to study for tests.” Tomoyo remarks, trying to put a positive spin on the question asked. “We don‘t go to your class but I‘m sure it‘s a great class.” Hikaru offered in addition. “I figured at least someone’s getting some use out of it.” Keiko feels Eve’s hands grab her side, rolling the older woman over onto Eve’s lap. As Keiko gets comfortable, she begins talking to no one in general. “I’m too old to teach anyone. I’m not up on current things, I barely get by on my own, heaven forbid teaching what I know to all those kids. And I wasn’t enamored with the thought of reliving my “past” to do a history class, even though Rebecca seems to love it even though she’s not even 50 yet.”

“Whine, whine, whine. Bitch, bitch, bitch. Nag, nag, nag. Shut up, shut up, shut up.” Rebecca mumbles from her place in front of the TV. “No wonder the forces of heaven and hell cut a wide swath away from your location. You whine and kill too much, but it‘s mostly the whining that drives them away!”

“I just don’t feel like I have much to contribute to my “role” in that school but a free period.” Keiko continues, ignoring Rebecca on purpose, “It was the Goddesses who had the idea of making us teachers in the first place, and I didn’t approve of that tired old scenario from the start.” At that Rebecca snickers, “Which is why I’m in the role you were supposed to fill as history teacher… of course I just took it to burn Fly into a fistful of cinder and ash but whatever.”

“Whatever.” Keiko sighs, “Go torment the freaky French rabbids, you jerk -- still, I wish I could contribute something to the class.”

“You contribute a lot!” Sakura pitches in Keiko’s defense. “You’re a great help and we can’t get through some of these hard captures without your guidance and help!”

“What about us?!” Nina calls out from her spot at the TV, “What are we, chopped liver?”

“I contribute too!” Kero cries out in his own defense.
“Everyone contributes.” Tomoyo diplomatically answers, bringing silence in the room. Almost. “How about every other round we rotate and pass the controller off? That way everyone plays! I’ll pass off my controller to Meilin this round and she passes off to Xai next round while I share with Trinny.”

“I’m going to go watch the torment of the French rabbids.” Keiko mutters, pulling Eve along with her leaving the four alone. Tomoyo reaches out and touches Mirra on the shoulder, “I haven’t seen you around much.”

“We’ve been hanging together ever since she moved on -- I --” Mirra blushes, leaning on Hikaru’s shoulder for support as Hikaru grips Mirra’s hand tighter and smiles at her. “We understand. It was the same when Sakura & I were first living together. Remember?“ (Sakura nods her head, blushing abit at those early days and how that affection just grew and grew from those days which was like a dream everyday). “I’m glad you two are hitting it off so well. Your such a cute couple!”

“You two must make each other very happy!” Sakura added, her face glowing with happiness for the two of them. At this attention they both blushed deeply, fidgeting abit as they looked back and forth at each other and at the two watching them. “Hikaru-chan’s the best thing that ever happened to me, Sakura-papa -- I mean besides you two becoming my mommy and daddy of course!”

“Well said.” Hikaru chided gently, nudging Mirra a little bit with her arm. “Then why does my little Mirra-chan still cry sometimes at night?” Mirra blushes, trying to turn away but Hikaru turns her head so they stare into each other’s eyes. “Your still worried about Mimic, aren’t you?”

“I --” (Mirra stammers, but slowly finds her words with a little prodding from Hikaru and Tomoyo) “-- I don’t want her to hurt you -- I love you -- if anything happened to you it‘d be my fault.”

“It’d never be your fault my brave heroic loveable princess you.” Hikaru assured her, “Your only crime is loving me.“

“That was a lot of words for one breath.“ Mirra whispered, eyes abit wide, to which Hikaru places two fingers firmly on Mirra’s lips and whispers “Hush.“ before continuing, stopping when Mirra whispered “Mu muv moo.”

“?” (removes fingers) “I love you -- sorry, your fingers were --” (Mirra puts her fingers on Hikaru’s lips and pinches, causing the other girl to lean back briefly in surprise) “-- sorry.” “I know, I know, I love you too my rambunctious, wild little precious thing you. (sorry about the fingers)” (Hikaru’s fingers grip onto Mirra’s cheeks and pinches them) “I love everything about you. Rosey cheeks, big appetite, lovely innocence, and attachment to your favorite stuffed toys. I love the whole package and nothing Mimic can do will change my heart’s feelings. I love you my little Mirra-chan.”

“Stwop th’!“ (Hikaru releases her grip) “I’m not THAT little!” Mirra growls in little, blushing at the attention, hand rubbing her face. “Not in front of mama and papa! I feel like a kid when you do that!”

Hikaru smirks, “But you started it, you little minx you!”
The two laugh, falling onto the bed giggling as they start to try and tickle each other. In the backdrop, Sakura/Tomoyo watch on, their smiles and expression almost as if they’re two loving parents watching the same feelings of love and caring between themselves blossom in their daughter and the one she loves. They couldn’t stop feeling protective of the two -- briefly Tomoyo flashed back to what happened -- and her teeth clenched unseen. If Mimic ever hurt her precious daughter or her daughter’s sweet lover ever again -- Tomoyo pushed those thoughts away, she didn’t want to hurt anyone. “She must be so alone to be so full of hate.” she whispered, barely catching Sakura’s attention. “What did you say?”

“I said she must be on her second wind to be so feisty.”

“I guess.” Sakura nodded, watching the two at play, not noticing Tomoyo’s change of mood from introspective to being happy again.

Period 2 - Math
It was a good thing Mirra and Hikaru came to “class” today, it seemed that the school sent one of Nina’s assistants to the Daidouji Residence to have someome give Sakura a re-test on math. Nina pushed through the corrections and the results faster than the other tests because she was dying to see if all that cramming Sakura did for the test really paid off or not--- it didn’t, she still had to re-test.

The others had saved their game and came back for the second period, planning to go back to the game during fourth period PE class. Both Mirra and Hikaru helped Sakura cram for the test for one hour, as Tomoyo sat with Nina and the two went over with Ms. Mitsuki (over the phone) how to administer the test. Keiko was to monitor the whole test to insure it was legit, and since she was the fabled and dreaded 7th Judgement, nobody at Sakura’s school would dare question her OK of the test once she signed her “John Hancock” on the finished test and certified it was given fairly and without any cheating involved. Her word, and her signature, was as good as gold.

As everyone sat back, they watched Sakura work over her test (or just sat near her but staring in the opposite direction, leaning against the bed) while she worked under the loving gaze of Tomoyo who, while not helping, gave Sakura confidence to continue.
She finished on time, and turned in her test. It was signed, put into a tamper proof envelope and sealed for grading at school. Sakura seemed rather embarrassed that she ended up having to do the make-over test, but Tomoyo only chided her gently and they left the room for awhile for a discussion… or so they said.

“They’re doing it.” Rebecca sighs, leaning against the bed. “I tell you they’re so doing it.” (a foot kicks Rebecca in the side, that foot belonging to one scowling Keiko Yamanaka) “The girls are in here, dummy! Why don’t you give them a blow by blow account while your at it!”
Rebecca shrugs it off, turning over to the two. “They’re 14, they can handle it.”

“No they’re not 14! They’re --” (stops, looks, blinks a few times) “Are -- you can’t be.” The two nod their heads. “I wanted to be a little older so I could be with my Mirra-chan forever, so I made a wish at a forest shrine near auntie Fuu’s summer house and I grew up a little.”

“I made a wish too --” Everyone’s eyes turn and focus on Mirra. “AND?”

“It’s -- it’s --” (everyone leans forward to listen) “IT’S A SECRET!!” Everyone faints. Hikaru smiles as she bumps her head against Mirra’s forehead slightly, “What am I ever going to do with you my silly lover?” Mirra smiles at the compliment.

Period 3 - Arts & Science
“Another free period?” Rebecca sighed irritably.
“We just came off break so shove off. Anyway it would be free period in class today too because the test was Monday and Sakura aced it -- wait --” Keiko looks over at Meilin, “Why aren’t you taking midterm exams?”

“I already did back in the Shining Star before transfer, so I’m ahead of my classmates in that respect. They’ll catch up to me when we enter the new semester after break next year. I don‘t mind though, it gives me a chance to focus on Xai while I wait for them to get up to my level.”

Nina huffs her breath as she looks over at Meilin, “Well your just so very humble aintcha!” (sighs) “It’s free period so back to Professor Kero’s for Wii Sports class! Tina will be standing by if anyone gets a faceful of Wiimote during Baseball or Tennis!”

As everyone goes back to the game, both Mirra and Hikaru go to watch, leaving Sakura & Tomoyo alone to talk. “They’ve grown so much since that trip.” Sakura noted. “Magic does that to two girls in love.” Tomoyo kids, nudging Sakura in the arm, “Remember? It made you into such a mature woman in the time I knew you. And it made me the happiest girl in the whole wide world the day you and I swore to be together forever.”

“Tomo-chan!“ (Sakura blushes at the compliment) “I remember! But it was sweet of them -- I mean -- I’m glad they found each other.” (Sakura shies away a little, blushing from cheek to cheek at Tomoyo’s smiles and playful proddings) “I glad for them too. Everyone should find such happiness, regardless of whether it‘s boy/girl, girl/girl or boy/boy -- I know they‘re happy, just like your brother Toya & Yuki are happy together.” (Tomoyo turns and looks at the two as they sit together, hand in hand, watching the game as they enjoy each other’s presence) “They deserve to be happy.”

“Tomo-chan --” Sakura suddenly blushes abit, “Do you think they’re -- I mean -- you know, do you think…”

“Do you mean sexually active? Do you want the truth or --”
Sakura swallows hard, and nods her head weakly. “Yeah. I’m ready.”

“You sure?” Tomoyo smirks, looking up and down at her love, “You look kinda motion sick to me. Maybe it‘s the Wii Sports viewing that‘s making you queasy.”

“I’m OK!” (Sakura whispers in a strong but soft tone, sits up straight, mustering her courage for the question) “I want to know. I want to be a good parent to Mirra-chan.”

“Even though you never talked to your brother about Mirra’s “crush”?”

“---” (Sakura’s face falls into a frown) “---I’m sorry!”

“I’m just kidding.” (two of Tomoyo’s fingers each touch Sakura’s face, pushing her frown into a smile) “Don’t stop smiling. It’s your best trait. And you’re a great parent to our Mirra-chan.”

“Tomo-chan.” (smiling) “So -- is she --?” Tomoyo nods and shakes her head, causing Sakura to face fault. “Eh? I don‘t --”

“They’re --” (draws close, and speaks in a hushed whisper) “-- they’re not having major sex, but Mirra asked me about oral sex. I think she wants to “present” Hikaru with oral lovemaking on Christmas Eve night as a present. She wanted to do it for Hikaru just right, she was so cute in how nervous she was.” Sakura, blushing from ear to ear, looks at Tomoyo, “Is that OK?”

“It’s OK. I had a long talk with Mirra and taught her the ropes. She’s going to be gentle, and they’ll keep their lovemaking to oral and finger probing for awhile -- Sakura?” (looks at brown haired girl) “Your burning red --? Oh!” (smiles sheepishly) “I forgot you don’t like talking about this kind of stuff.”

“I-I-it’s OK! Really -- but what did -- I mean what kind of -- is it -- I mean Tomo-chan -- I --” Tomoyo brings her fingers to her face making a sign and smirks, “Lick, lick, and --” (brings her fingers of one hand down to touch her other hand) “-- stroke stroke, nothing too severe. Just gentle loving foreplay and oral ministrations.” (smiles) “They’re taking their time learning love in all forms. I’m glad they want to experiment yet slowly and with great care. It shows how much they want to savor each and every moment of their growing love. I’m happy for them.”

Sakura stares down at the sheets blushing, “I am too -- I‘m just a little -- I mean --”

“Maybe we should watch the game, or I could make you blush for a whole different reason while nobody‘s looking.”
Sakura smiles, sinking into the bed allowing the sheets to cover her up to her neck, knowing what was coming next and relishing the moments to come.

Meanwhile, Keiko, at the controls now, nudge Eve. “Do it.” Eve smiles, and conceals one hand as she chants a silent spell, weaving the runes with her hand in the air, drawing each symbol in light energy writing briefly marking the air as she spells reach rune. For the rest of the period? Well, everyone was too engrossed with the game to even think of looking behind them (and nothing too severe happened anyway, but still -- it was if by magic that their attentions were so focused on the game -- wonder why --)

Any Adults Reading This?

Right now it seems I'm mostly working on my adult hentai novel submission that needs a publisher more than fan fictions. Sigh. Now I just need a publisher for it, and maybe a few cohorts to collaborate with... maybe an introduction to somebody doing furry flash games so I can get someone to work on my newest project "Solids & Stripes"... that'd be nice.

Sigh. Well, just checking to see what kind of adult readers we have about here. Take care.

CardCaptor Sakura Remastered III Episode 4 (10)

The numbers seemed as if they were mocking her even as she tried to study. It just didn’t seem to want to work out the way she wanted it to. Maybe if she -- Sakura suddenly felt a hand slip beneath her arm and firmly place itself between her hand and her Clow cards. “No cheating.”

“Tomo-chan.” Sakura moaned, hand moving away from the cards as Tomoyo talked to her, “Your going to do fine. Just remember what you learned, and the little lessons I taught you about making the equations work and it’ll come out OK in the end.”

“Too bad there’s no time for a refresher.” Sakura lamented. At that Tomoyo smirked at the thought of Sakura‘s request, “I don’t think it’s an appropriate place to “refresh” your memory now -- no privacy.”

“I know.” Sakura smiles, remembering how Tomoyo played a rather naughty learning game with her to help her with her math. As she thought about Tomoyo’s antics she started to remember bits and pieces of the equations -- along with face flushing, red cheeked moments. Sakura sighs deeply, face glowing red, as she starts to work on her practice equations again, getting them right. “There you go. I told you you could do it if you remembered my lessons.” (and to bring the point home, Tomoyo runs a finger up and down Sakura’s back, treading up and down her spine sending shivers as she gently pushes enough so her touch could be felt through the cloth of the school uniform). “Tomo-chan.”

“Why is Sakura’s face all red?” (Chiharu)

For the first time, Meilin had brought her blade to school. She didn’t think she could, but after seeing Keiko & Rebecca with their weapons (safely held in their tesseract jewels, occasionally out during study period for them to polish the blades) she decided to bring her’s to class. The blade was long, yet strong and sturdy. It was straight as an iron bar, and fashioned after the long swords of European knights. The area of grip was long so she could have a firm grip on the blade, with her name etched into the blade in Chinese on one side, and a runespell that made the blade indestructible etched on the opposite blade side. On the blade’s sheathe (propped against her desk) was two runes joined as one. One symbolized Meilin, the other Xai.

Originally, the blade’s twin runes were to symbolize Meilin/Li, but after she finally came to the conclusion that they would never be one, she threw away the rune she had made for him and started a long standing bitter hatred of him. She never speaks about him much, and though she knows that it was meant to be -- that didn’t make her want to think about him anymore now than she wanted to when she knew that they were going to split into their own directions and there was nothing she could do about it. She had done her studying with Xai so she didn’t need to do it now, and all she could think of was Xai so she mindlessly polished the blade as she let her thoughts wander.
The cool reflected surface showed her worried face, and it concerned her that she was so focused--- quickly she sheathed her blade again rather than stare are her own worried expression for another minute. “You OK?” Meilin didn’t answer, she merely set the blade/sheathe against her broach and stored it away. Her thoughts were spinning --

The Shining Star Judgement Command HQ
Xai held her paperwork firmly as she presented it, and waited for it to be filed. She was happy when she realized that she could finish her paperwork a few days earlier than planned and join Meilin ahead of schedule. She couldn’t contain her joy when she made the announcement to her, face beaming with joy as she told her the good news. She was now abit more somber but mostly from deep thoughts, still she’d be happy again once she was with Meilin.

The disk she dictated all her reports on for the last few months was finished. Four months of solid work and information on several different missions, all completed. They weren’t incredibly hard, or very difficult to complete, but they were important nevertheless.

One involved a Darkling plot to overthrown the Government of the Shining Star (since in about 65% of the Earths in the omniverse, Hong Kong (Shining Star) was a free and independent nation.)
Another involved a strange form of child porn which involved tapping into the memories of young Normal girls when they wandered the scape while they slept, using what they retrieved (the girls’ memories of bathing, or undressing, or their first sexual experimentation), and selling these underaged “memories” on a memory black market.

Yet another was a frustrated writer’s strange plan to take existing works of fiction and “patent” them in dimensions where the original authors never did these works and take all the credit for them. For example, the guilty would travel to a dimension where J.K. Rowlings never wrote Harry Potter and release the series under the guilty’s own name for profit purposes. But as she left the Command Center, her reports filed and her request for temporary transfer granted, her thoughts were only on one thing. Meilin. “Got your leave?” Xai didn’t need to turn to know who was speaking to her from behind. “Of course I did. I finished my workload for the year and things are quiet for the time being --” (turns) “-- figured I’d take advantage of the slow period and take some time off out of country. Anyway, someone’s waiting for me so we can spend Christmas together and I already sent our presents to each other ahead of me to Nippon.”

“I’m sure she’ll be happy with what you got her -- you OK?” he asked, running a hand over her head flattening out his hair, a thing he usually only does when he’s nervous about something. “Sure I’m up for a talk --” Xai announced, picking up on her male counterpart’s nervousness. “Let’s grab a bite while I wait for the transport I asked for to pick me up for the trip to catch my flight.”

* * * * * *

The older male stared at her, his black Judgement uniform seeming a little tight as he wiggled in his chair abit. His hair was pressed firm against his head, his nervous habit getting the better of him. “Usually I’m the one who can’t think of a word to say, but today your downright silent. I’ll take it that isn’t a good sign of things to come, is it?”
Xai only shrugs in her own defense, a slight smirk on her face as she absentmindedly sips on her drink while she nibbles at her food. “Your not yourself lately. What’s up?”

“What makes you think something’s up?” He reels back abit, as if bitten, then leans forward again motioning her with a come hither look to come forward abit. “Other than the fact that Meilin is usually scolding you about wolfing down your food, only today you don’t seem all that hungry? And the fact that your usually doing most of the talking but today your about as lively as an oil painting? Is that qualifying as a sign that something’s up?”

“I guess---” (Xai sighs as she picks up the pace a little eating wise) “I’m not being like this on purpose--- I just don’t know what to say today. Usually you’re the one with the problems, but today you seem to want to help me with my--- well, with me. It‘s like I‘m the one who needs the help today.”

“Maybe you do. Any problems I can pointlessly muddle through like a half-ass amateur?”

“No, not at all---” (picks up pace) “---and I‘m not just saying that to hide anything.”

“Your trying to dunk a pickle into your soda. Is that normal?” Xai stops herself, looking at her hand, her face turning into a sheepish smiley grin. “---uh boy---”

“Is the wedding off?” he asked tepidly, “No. No it’s not off---” (Xai wolfs down the pickle and sighs) “---it’s still set for April. That’s not the problem--- the bachelorette party is on--- I even got a “Filly” film that’ll make for one helluva interesting tale -- I just can’t stop, you know, remembering.” For a second he didn’t understand, but as he remembers he begins to frown. “You know she doesn’t like it when you do that. It’s painful and don‘t you mean “Stag“ film?”

“It was more painful for her than for me. And I should have---”

“You can’t blame yourself for something that was uncon---”

“I should have known!” (Xai slams her fist down, bringing the chatter to the room to a dead halt) “You saw the signs, she saw the signs, the only one who didn’t see the signs was ME! And for my ignorance in that everyone has the potential for good over evil? Meilin paid the price for my Pollyanna ways!”

“She’s fine. Your fine. Everyone---”

“I’M NOT FUCKING FINE!!” Xai lowers her head suddenly as she realizes she’s shouting, she goes back to drinking her drink and eating quietly. “I don’t feel fine. I feel like shit when---”

“It’s not you---”

“It might as well have been my fault.” Xai repeated, eyes narrowing as she spoke “It’s the first anniversary. The day we get married. She wanted it to be defiant. Say to the world that nothing was going to tear us apart. She’s so strong---”

“Your strong too.”

“I don’t feel strong.” Xai laments, finishing her meal. “Thanks for lunch. I feel better now. I have to go, my transport will be here soon---” as she stands up to leave, he watches her walk towards the door, suddenly he yells out one word, “Liar!”, and the room falls silent. All eyes turn towards her as she stops, and looks back at him. Seconds later, with a defeated sigh, she turns back to the doorway out. “Yeah.” It takes a whole minute for the room to go back to it’s own concerns, leaving him sitting at the table chewing quietly and pondering---

“And I mean filly.” (Xai was back in the room, standing next to him) “Uh--- what’s a filly film?” he asked, to which she leaned down and, “It’s when a young Palominian girl goes through her coming of age ceremony at 20 year cycles old. She’s paired up with her first love and they take a camera (so her family can vicariously live through her moment) and go into the woods to have their first sexual encounter. The film is saved for the bachelor and/or bachelorette party--- probably mostly to embarrass the hell out of the one getting married I suppose. You see--- I sorta had a crush on my female best friend and she did the ceremony with me because it was her time and we borrowed my auntie‘s toys and we wanted to emulate the Goddess Night rituals and it got kinda kinky and---”

“Alright! Alright! I get the point! Did I need that much exposition for a simple question?” (looks at Xai with a severe expression) “And aren’t you late for your transport? Why are you here making me---”

“Oh, sorry. I‘ll--- uh---- go now---” (already out the door as she yells her apologies). It takes him a full minute to recover, requiring another long drink (and a second soda) to calm him down. “Glad I’m on the guest list for the party.”

Meanwhile, back in Nippon
Sakura, head spinning from the test earlier, stops upon a strange sight. Meilin was sitting beneath a tree, in her hand a glowing disc projecting a holographic image. That image was of herself and the woman Sakura saw in the photo Meilin showed a few days earlier hugging while in a lying position in bed. The taller woman was leaning into Meilin, the bottom of her short--- ?--- the word escaped Sakura’s mind but it was on the tip of her tongue--- well, that part of her face was resting on Meilin’s head and they both looked content in each other’s arms. Meilin, suddenly noticing Sakura, quickly snaps off the image and stashes the device into her bag. “She’s beautiful.” Sakura remarks as she draws near. “She’s Palominian--- right?”

“Yeah--- she’s the greatest.” Meilin whispers, feeling a bit of angst for hiding what was one of their happy moments, almost as if she was ashamed--- she quickly retrieves the small disc and turns it on again, showing it to Sakura. “We took this while on vacation several months ago. Xai bought this new hover camera and we wanted to try it out so we took some intimate photos--- this is---” (closes imager again, putting it back into her bag) “---the only one I can look at in public. The rest are--- well--- adult in nature.”

“I understand.” Sakura smiles, sweatdropping abit as she thinks of all the images Tomoyo took of them that she couldn’t show to anyone either. Quickly recovering, she motioned towards the bag. “Xai’s her name, right?”

“Xai Shar. Her basic family name.”

“Basic?” Sakura asks, siting down next to Meilin (on her invitation as she motions for the brown haired girl to sit next to her) “Palominians have basic and personal names. Xai already confided in me her personal name--- but I’m not supposed to tell anyone. It’s her secret family name.”

“I see.” Sakura nods, fidgeting abit as she notices Meilin was feeling rather awkward about her talking about Xai. “Are you OK? We could change the---”

“No. No. I’m fine.” (Meilin sighs) “She finished her work early so she’s getting transferred today so we can spend time together. I can’t wait to see her. I know it’s only been a few days since we were last--- well, together--- and the holosuite projector is great but--- I miss being with her in a truly physical sense.”
Sakura nods her head, having experienced the same feelings when Tomoyo was on a business trip for her slowly growing Anime company. “It’s hard when the one you love is so far away, even for a little while--- isn’t it?”

“Yeah. Yeah--- that’s it exactly---” Meilin leans back, watching the clouds roll by--- only to notice Sakura staring at her intently. “What?”

“You seem so mature, Meilin. I mean, well I mean that I’m not implying you weren’t mature before! I mean---” (Sakura looked nervous as if she said something wrong) “It’s alright. I guess the first time we met I was abit of a child, becoming so jealous and then taking that jealousy out on you all the time.” (sighs) “But I guess after I met Xai and then--- well, I grew up a lot since then. I’m a changed woman now.”

“Really?“ Sakura said quietly, “I miss the old Meilin.”

“Eh? Why?”

“You were always on my back--- but you were also so very energetic. When you came back I thought it was the old Meilin but--- it’s as if you’ve grown and some of that energy is gone.”

“It happens when---” (stops herself) “When what?” Sakura prodded. For the longest time she didn’t speak, until finally she frowned and tagged Sakura on the shoulder with a slight punch, “Nothing! Don’t get all mushy with me! It’s disgusting!” Sakura smiles, nodding her head. “There’s the spunk I remember.”

“Well don’t get used to it. I like being mature. Just because I don’t ride on your back like SOME people I know, it doesn’t mean I’m not going to be hard on you tonight when we go after Fight! You better be ready Kinomoto, because I don’t want you slacking when we capture Fight!”

“I promise I’ll be ready.” Sakura promised, fists raised in a defensive stance. “Good, Sakura!” (picks up her stuff) “I have to get ready, Xai’s flight is coming soon. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

“Right---” (watches Meilin walk off) “---bye.” (leans against the tree that Meilin was leaning against earlier, watching the fluffy white clouds lazily roll by in the sky) “What did she mean---”

“Mean by what?”

“ACk!” Sakura nearly jumps out of her skin, jumping forward in shock. “You scared me, Tomo-chan!”

“I’m sorry!” Tomoyo apologies, sitting next to Sakura, “I didn’t mean to scare you. What’s wrong though? You seemed so deep in thought I almost didn’t want to disturb you. (But I know your hungry so I bought lunch).”

“Thank you!” (starts eating as Tomoyo sits patiently nearby, waiting for an answer as she starts to eat her own lunch) “So? What were you so deep in thought about?”

“Meilin.” Sakura reflects, “Does she seem more mature these days?”

Tomoyo smiles, “Growing up tends to do that to you. Even you’ve matured and become more adult-like in the past few years!”

“Me? An adult?” Sakura smirks at the thought, “I don’t feel very mature. Sometimes I feel like I’m not growing very much while your blossoming into womanhood---”

“Your blossoming too.” (Tomoyo whispers as she leans on Sakura’s shoulder) “You don’t know how lucky I am to be able to watch my precious Sakura blossom into womanhood, and be there with her so we can both reach that point of our lives together. It’s something I thought could never happen to a girl like me.”

“I’m glad we could be together--- forever---”

“Forever.”
The two stop, and watch the clouds, letting the moment sink in. As they watch, Tomoyo reaches out and takes one of Sakura’s hands, holding it tight as she wraps her other arm around Sakura’s waist, drawing her close. “I’m the luckiest girl in the world to be in love with you.”

“I’m lucky that we could be so close, and that you love me as well.” Moments pass, and Sakura’s stomach growls. “---”

“Back to eating?” Tomoyo chides gently, passing Sakura her food and playfully feeding her a bite by hand, pushing the morsel into her mouth and savoring her lip’s touch on her fingers. “Have to keep my brave Card Captor’s strength up. Tonight?”

“Let’s get Fight tonight then.” The two go back to eating, occasionally bringing a bite of their food to the other’s mouth to playfully feed each other.

Neko Industrial Park
Formerly the location of King Penguin Park
Nighttime

Nina was fussy and not in a talkative mood with Sakura, that is until she saw Sakura’s new costume. “Don‘t tell me, let me guess… santa’s naughty elf came early this year.” Nina whispered, suppressing the urge to laugh.
Sakura was decked in fur from head to foot, mostly. She wore a red outfit with white trim, a short red skirt with white fur frills, sleeveless top (again with the same white fur frills on her collar and so forth, long red gloves and hip hugging boots, and to top it off she wore a little red santa cap. “Santa’s naughty elves’ going to have it out? Sounds like a que‘ kinky Spice Channel pay-per-view event if you ask me.” Keiko remarking, looking Sakura up and down as she did. Sakura was blushing quite visibly, but Tomoyo was pleased with her new design. “I decided since Fight was going with a Christmas theme this year I’d match it with a Christmas theme for Sakura-chan.

“Tomo-chan.” Sakura sweatdropped, feeling a little awkward in her costume. “Well I for one am pleased with how it turned out.” Tomoyo announced happily, to which Nina chipped in “Me too, Tomoyo, me too!” (walks over to Sakura gloating) “She’s just the CWUTIEIEST WITTLE WHELF!!” (Nina was now thoroughly enjoying herself at Sakura’s expense!) “I didn’t know Fight could change her appearance.” Tina thought out loud. “Why the sudden change of clothes, and why a Christmas motif?”

“I dunno.” (Kero) “Fight never changed her clothes for anything or anyone, and thank god her clothes was magically maintained and cleaned between changes from card to human or she’d had been impossible to be around! She’s kinda stuck on her old clothes so I can’t figure out why she changed -- clothes that is.”

“Maybe she’s finally getting into the holiday spirit?” Sakura put out, tugging abit on her skirt, to which Kero scoffed. “Nah. Fight’s the kind of girl who’d give Scrooge AND all the Ghosts of Christmas past, present AND future nightmares. She’s not into any holidays, just fighting and beating up people to test herself often, and that kinda makes her a bit of a killjoy during holidays like Christmas. Still, why the change…”
Suddenly Sakura snaps her head about, her attention focused. “I sense something nearby, something close that is approaching in this direction.”

“Is it Fight?” Tomoyo asked, her camera trained on Sakura as she raised her staff and closed her eyes to focus, “Feels like it. But I have to get closer…” Sakura whispered, her attention focused on seeking out the source of her feelings, until she quickly snaps her arm out and quietly says “This way!”
Before anyone can react she’s already in motion, moving fast with Tomoyo behind her followed by the others. “Wait up!” Nina gasped, lagging behind as everyone chased after Sakura, “It’s too close to Christmas for me to run like this! Shopping takes it out of me every year and my stamina’s screwed!”

As they all round the corner they run right into Sakura -- staring awkwardly as a young couple walking in the park. The female, who had a passing resemblance to Fight, wore a long overcoat to keep warm as she cuddled next to her young man. She looked at Sakura strangely, and said “W-wh-what’s wrong? Why are you staring at m-me?”

After a quick apology, Sakura ran on with the others following. “False alarm!” Sakura gasped, as she suddenly comes to a dead halt--- “I don’t get it. I feel Fight now -- but the feeling is behind us now.”

“Where that young couple is?” Tomoyo asked, pulling Sakura up so she could lean on Tomoyo to catch her breath. “It wasn’t them though, was it?”

“I don’t know.” Sakura rasped, catching her breath. “Can’t be.” Kero announced, “Fight is never the talkative type, and she’s about as warm and cuddly as a sharp object, while that young woman seemed very warm to that guy. Can’t imagine Fight being that cuddly to anyone.”

“Why not?” Eve asks with a questioning glance towards Kero, “She could fall in love.”

“She’s too obsessed with fighting to do anything of the sort.” Kero countered, “She can’t enjoy the holidays, she’s a dreadful cloud over everyone else’s enjoyment, and she’s not the most sociable card I ever spent time with. She’s just a total killjoy, I don’t see how that loving young woman could be our Fight.”

Nina looked about confused, “Anyway, is someone going to magically appear behind us or is this just a false alarm?”

“Nope. It‘s not a false alarm.”
Everyone turns, coming face to face with Rebecca. “I don’t know if this is a good thing or not, but I don’t think Meilin’s coming.”

“But she came last time when Fight was around,” Sakura assured her, “Maybe she went to New King Penguin Park?” Sakura pondered, to which Rebecca only shook her head. “Nope. I think she’d rather be with her pony-girl than here.”

“Or we could have just stopped at the hotel and hurried over.”
The new voice was deeper, stronger. As they all turned to the new voice they saw Meilin, walking side by side with a tall Palominian woman (dressed in the black uniform of the Judgements) come towards them. Meilin wore black also, but it was adorned with little things that reminded Sakura so much of Meilin’s old costume. Nina sighed, ‘Thank god she changed clothes! If her costume was as kinky as the Anime made it look she’d be an embarrassment to work with -- walking panty shot all the way.’

Xai turns her attention squarely on Sakura, “Sakura, isn’t it?“ (she nods her head) “Is she here? Fight, I mean.”

Sakura shook her head in the negative. “I sensed something before, but it wasn’t her.”

“Let me be the judge of that.” Xai turns, raises her head, and sniffs the air abit. As she paces in a tight circle she continues to sniff the air as if looking for a scent. “Nice show there, Meilin. I thought you were marrying a pony, not a dog…” (Xai turns and glares at Rebecca, silencing her) “It’s a simple Palominian trait. I have a very good sense of smell, even to an extent into the mystical range of smells.”

“Really? Can you smell Fight’s scent?” (Kerberos) “She doesn’t bathe too often so I figure she must have some scent!”

“I mean her power. It gives off an electrical scent. The kind you smell when the air‘s filled with static electricity.” Xai shakes her head. “More like there’s two scents though in this case, one human scent covering over the electrical energy -- did you happen to see any coup --?” (they were already running, leaving the two behind) “Hey!”

“Don’t run away without us! Hey!!” (Meilin frowns, stomping her foot) “I hate it when she does that!” Quickly she goes into a dead sprint, with Xai close behind. “She’s always running off and not thinking things through! Hard headed! I thought she grew out of it!”

“Maybe she needs more time!” Xai remarked, her pace steady and neck to neck with Meilin’s.

* * * * * *

Sakura reached Fight first, grabbing her arm and spinning her around. The male she was with was shocked, but tried to get between the two. Sakura, however, still charged from the run, swung her arm out expecting an attack from Fight. Big mistake. Her staff strikes the male in the head knocking him over.
For long seconds nothing, both stand there in shock. Everything happened so fast that neither had a chance to recover from the quickness of the confrontation. Fight shakes suddenly, and from her twisting lips her voice brings forth a horrified shriek.

Quickly Sakura braces herself, steadying herself for an attack -- that doesn’t happen. Fight drops to her knees, scooping him into her arms crying. As Nina & Tina check on him… (Nina - Are you sure?, Tina - I have sufficent medical knowledge to apply first aid… I used to be a naughty nurse once.)
Fight kneels there with him in her arms shivering and crying. “I’m sorry!!” Sakura blurts out in a panic, quickly kneeling down, “I’m sorry! I didn’t---” Fight wouldn’t stop shaking, she didn’t want to look at Sakura though -- she only wanted her to go away. “Fight, I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to --”

Fight gently puts him into Tina’s care (Nina - How come you get to take care of him?!), looking at Sakura, her eyes teary as she stands. Her fists clench and unclench, her breath ragged, her stance strong but waivering. She closes her eyes and raises her head as if looking into the night sky -- then she speaks.

All she ever knew was how to fight.
Violence was an artform to her.
She could speak, but never wanted to. She only wanted to fight.
One night she ran into someone she couldn’t beat--- and he wasn’t going to let her off with only a warning. He and a couple of his friends were her targets. They played dirty and brought her down hard, using devices that shot out wire that clipped into her, and sent thousands of volts of electricity through her body. She was too numb to feel anything, but not numb enough in her senses to know when they dragged her into the brush and raped her. That’s when he came.

He was jogging and came to her rescue. She watched, while one of her captors held her nude body, as he took a harsh beating and was dropped next to her to watch. She couldn’t bear to look, but she had to -- and he was still only concerned for her. He fought for her. Not for the love of fighting, or the desire to find worthy opponents to beat -- but he wanted to come to her aid. Be her -- what was it? Knight in shining armor? She thought the notion of such a thing was an absurd thing. Whenever Kero and the others would watch a story about brave male knights saving hapless females thanks to the Toon card’s shows, she would storm off in a huff. The idea of women needing me to save them was absurd. She didn’t need anyone -- until then.

When she saw how much he suffered for her, and still only cared about her safety -- she knew she found something better than fighting --

“I can help!”
Sakura brings Fight’s attention back to the real world, holding out her staff. “I’m glad you found someone to be happy with. I don’t want you to lose that. Here. Let me help you.” Sakura raises the staff upwards, holding it tight. “Clow Card give your power unto me -- and be --” A flash of light obscures Sakura’s vision and then nothing. The impact slams into her hard, sending her flying across the grass to land under a tree, blood flowing from her nose. “SAKURA!!!” Tomoyo screams, quickly rushing over to where she laid, picking her up gingerly in her arms. As she turns to stare as Fight, the two notice she was the one who landed the blow. Fight, teeth clenched, lowered her hand, slightly bloodied by the impact, and frowns. She wasn’t done with her story yet.

As they turned her over on her back, holding her down, they turned her head towards her savior. So she could watch as one of her assailants flipped him over, and violated him. He was the first one to rape her, so she couldn’t believe what he was doing -- let alone how much sadistic pleasure he took in hitting him and -- goddess, it shook Fight to the core of her being. She’s done a great many things to her opponents, but she’s never been so -- evil to them when they were down. This, this affront was unforgivable.
What they did to her she could understand. They were only males, that she could grasp (them doing it to her) but to him? The thought disgusted her.

In front of her shocked, disbelieving eyes she watched this -- and it sank into her mind. They were nothing more than animals. Horrid, vicious animals that walked upright like men. And that sickened her and made her very very angry. She wanted to do horrible things to them. Things only she could do. It took her time to heal from her wounds, but she could crawl to him -- take him home -- and they would heal together -- but when she healed she came back for them -- the first one she found assaulting a young girl the same age as Mistress Sakura when she was first sealed by her.

Her rage boiled over, and Fight did more than “fight” him -- she obliterated him. How different, she once mused, than how she treated her savior. Her hands, which could break bone and flesh, were gentle as the caressing touch of a light breeze against her lover’s body -- her limbs which could deliver steel hard blows, now soothed and comforted. Her body which could withstand the most concentrated attacks, melted like butter to his touch as she made love to him -- and each confirming to the other that they were still whole entities, if not both human than at least whole enough to survive the worst man can do and come out intact, or close to that. But the man beneath her was not her lover.

She saved her gentlest smiles, comforting touch, and her love for him. This thing beneath her, this animal -- he meant nothing to her. Her rage and anger made her murderous in her rage, and she utterly destroyed him to the point of it being near barbarous what she did to him. But she wasn’t done. She wanted them all -- and she nearly had them -- except for the man who first raped her -- then violated the man she calls her darling beloved.
She wanted to kill him. Beat him. For her lover. For herself. For everyone who suffered because of him. And for that she needed her power -- and wasn’t going to give it up easily, not even to her former mistress.

Fight steps back slowly watching for any movements, until she reached him, and picked him up. Before anyone could move she was off, running like crazy to get away. But right now everyone was more focused on Sakura than Fight -- but still -- as Tomoyo tended to Sakura, tears flowing down her face as she fussed and cared for her beloved? Well, when they left that night to capture Fight they all knew that it wasn’t going to be easy -- the situation had only gotten a lot more complicated. And they didn’t like that one bit.
